Hair..........?

My hair isn't damaged because I've never dyed it or highlighted it or anything but I straighten it every day because it's the only thing I can do with it and it's generally soft but I always have split ends, and I am not getting the ends trimmed every six weeks because my hair grows slow, and I am trying to grow it out! its about down to my shoulder now, does anyone know any shampoos or anything that can make my hair even healthier? Maybe a way to reduce split ends or heat damage? Thanx!!!

Are you using a professional shampoo and conditioner?

if not. go to a salon and ask for recomendations on dry, damaged hair. The reason you are getting split ends is because of dryness caused by heat damage. Purchase the correct shampoo and conditioner. I use the biolage or the nioxin and love them both. Also, wash your hair with cool water and remove most of the moisture before blowdrying. NEVER straighten hair when it is still a bit wet, you BAKE the hair. Also invest in a product labeled "thermal protectant" you'll put that on before blow drying and straightening and it will create a barrier from the heat, making the heat from the straightener and blow dryer not so damaging.

Hi.

You can find highly useful resources for managing your hair on http://healthonlineinfo.info . It's a very useful webguide dealing with hair related issues. Report It

maybe you need to condition your hair or get like a hot oil

Hair..........?

Try one of the new herbal esences.

Maybe a hot oil treatment. you can get one done at a salon.

V05 work for me and maybe it can help for u 2

There's your problem. Straightening irons damage hair if they're used too often. They make it dry.

Use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. I use something called Smoothing Tea Blend twice a week and a dry hair shampoo once every five days. Massage the shampoo into your scalp when you wash your hair. It helps a lot.

hot oil it

you cant erase, split ends because split ends are dead hair. The only way to get rid of it is to trim your hair. Even if you are growing your hair that is still good for it. After you get your hair trimmed, I reccomend using a heat tamer on your hair ( Tresemme Heat Protector Spray {purple bottle}) use a frizz taming shampoo. Even if you don't have frizz, this keeps you hair soft and moisturized. I wouldn't reccomend using a starigtener every day, but if you must try a deep conditioning hair mask every 2weeks to a month. Hope this helped. :)

You need to get the split ends trimmed or they will keep taveling up the whole strand! Use a deep conditioner and then head for the salon! You need to keep them cut for the overall condition of your hair.

Hair..........?

even though your hair grows slow u should still get a trim and it will grow faster. Try using rusk shampoo and rusk ceramic spray. Use the spray every time u straighten it it will protect your hair and u will have fewer split ends

Hair..........?

Okay, straightening it everyday is bad. Perhaps you should run some conditioner through it and put it in a pretty bun until you have the length you are willing to cut the ends from. If you are African American get braids and leave it alone for 2 months and then cut the ends after you take them out...if you aren't change conditioners for damaged hair, such as Pantene, but pull it into a loose ponytail to stop your hair from rubbing against your clothes. A small clip of the ends will stop it from breaking however and is recommended. Perhaps take off an inch.

i tried this conditioner when i was on vacation that reduces split ends.

long story short, i used it for only a couple of days and my split ends were gone in a flash.

it was either tresseme or thermasilk.

I'm sure you will be able to find a good conditioner or shampoo made especially for split ends.

Use a deep conditioner and sit under a hooded dryer at least once a month. Try a ceramic iron with a leave in product that protects your hair from heat damage. Even though you are trying to grow it out not getting your ends trimmed will only make it worse. Be clear with the person trimming your hair about your desire to grow it out and that you don't want a hair cut. Good Luck!

Hair..........?

Putting something protective on before you straighten makes a big difference. Something like sunsilk straightening cream, and it makes it easier to straighten too.

But trimming split ends is the best way still. And it can make your hair grow faster.
