Why wont the part in my hair go away?!?

Hmmm, I don't think you want to hear this, but it's the truth. I'm highly trained so, here you go:

Hair grows in patterns on your scalp. Let me give an example. Farmers. They take their time to make rows and rows of corn or whatever they are planting. Imagine rows and rows of it. Once the vegetables start growing, they form patterns from where they were planted. All vegetable patches, etc. have a begining point and an end. There is also "open space" between the rows. The vegetables get taller and taller, but they keep that same pattern of rows as when they were first planted. This is very similar to what goes on, on top of your head!

Hair grows in all types of various "patterns." Some people have what is called "swirls." You look at the top of their head and their hair "swirls" to make a circular pattern of hair! This is almost impossible to "alter."

Here it is: Everyone has a natural part to their hair : } Sorry. Stylist that have good training just need to have a wet head of hair, push the hair forward and boom!!! There is your "natural part." This is recommended in training stylist is "working with a natural part."

*But, there is always a trick or two. Here is one and I credit it to the "old timers" who used to always and only . . . "wet set their hair."

Have a freshly washed head of hair - towel dried - not too wet. Apply a "workable styling mud - not too sticky" to the top of your hair, especially in the center where your part is. NOT TOO MUCH! A dab will do ya!

Then, take a medium to fine tooth comb (NOT wide) and comb your hair to the direction you want it. Let it air dry overnight or get yourself a dryer with a bonnet attachment - like a shower cap - (old ladies know very well,) or if you have the cash a "hood dryer" and dry your hair, until it is dry to the touch! No cheating.

Then, when it is dry, take a soft bristle paddle style hair brush and comb through your hair. This should do the job. You got to experiment, kinda like in the kitchen. But, there is no way to chemically FORCE or "make" your hair permanently have a different part. This could cause hair breakage at your scalp and no one wants that! Yikes.

Good luck and happy experimenting!

I'm glad to help. Us hairdressers have an inside scoop that not everyone knows about. That's the cool thing about this site. It's also fun to play with hair using new rollers, irons, sets. All kinda stuff. Have fun and be hip! Report It

Why wont the part in my hair go away?!?

Thats becoz we loose hair on the line of the part.apply onion juice regularly and wash after half an hr.keep changing the parting every two weeks.continuous parting in the same place leads to wide lines.hot oil massage helps.
