What is the healthiest/most effective hair straightener?

I have had both low end Conair $40 straighteners to the Chi and Wigo $150 straighteners and never had luck with either. They all damage my hair tons and even with proper heat protecting products, they have fried my hair. I take great care of my hair, but hate using these tools because of the damage.

I have heard a lot about Sedu. Are they actually good?

Conair will slowly damage your hair because the heating sucks and you'll have to go over your hair a few times to get it straight. Expensive flat irons like CHI or SEDU or GHD will slowly damage your hair because the of the heating temp (burrrrning!).

This is why you had bad luck with them. Have you considered using a cream before straightening your hair to protect it from the heat? Try CHI Silk infusion. It is in a grayish bottle with a red cap. I use it and love how it works with my chi iron. It keeps my hair straight for days! :)

Hope this helps.

Well, Chi works pretty well if you have the hair products to mesh together with. :) For instance, if you get products that moisturize and soothe your hair, then it would possibly work well if you rub it in your hair before and after you straighten it. That's always worked for me.

there is not hair striaghtener that will not give you split ends....it just comes with like an attached package.
