Will black-blue or just black hair look good on me?

My natural hair is black. Right now i have it black with highlights.. I have pale skin N light brown eyes. I want to dye my hair all black because dark hair looks healthier and shinnier than light hair. But i dont want to do it if it wont look right. I was also thinking about a red to black color. I dont want to look paler than i already i'm. What color do you think would look good?

You should not not not color your hair blue-black. It's not worth the shame or humiliation. As a colorist I would steer you clear away from anything with a blue, or green base. These color bases, are what determine whether your haircolor is warm or cool muted or vibrant. Stay away from colors which have blues because they'll make you look really unnatural with your pale skin. And stay away from the ones with green or yellow bases because they give you an ashe brown which will make you look sickly and washed out. We'll save the ashe colors for the little old ladies. I would however suggest to you to try an ultra dark, rich, brown color on your hair. It will leave your skin looking warmer, healthier, and it's so dark it's practically black. You wouldn't even know how just tweaking the shade of your hair just a little, making it a little warmer, a little richer, can really make your skin glow. Ok, now for my suggestion. I reccomend that you go to Sally Beauty supply, if you're going to do it yourself, and purchase a product called "Loreal Preference: Mega Browns" permanent haircolor, in the shade Coffee. It's practically black, with warm rich red undertones to it. You'll look fantastic. Combine that with 20 vol. creme developer and process for 25 minutes. Good Luck!

i think all black would look cool .. i agree it looks alot better....i would dye it all black then add red streaks or a metallic colour.

I say just black. Blue- black after time has a green tint in the light.
