I have freezy and thick hair :(?

Every time i got to school i see my friends with beutiful and straight shiny hair. I go to school with my hair in a ponytail and i never have it down since it will freeze up like a sponge and my ends are split since i colored my hair brown. How can i have healthy, shiny and straight hair only using a blowdryer since my mom won't let me use a hair straighner. I want to have stylish hair.

Your mom not letting you get a straightener is wise. It will fry your hair and leave in dry, broken, and aweful. Your friends hair may look good now, but in a few years they will have alot of damage and frizz.

Now to answer your question. There are a few other way to get straight, or straighter hair.

1. After washing your hair let it airdry 3/4 of the way. (Use Sunsilk anitpoof right after you shower. ) Then spray a heat protectant (I like Tresemme) on your hair. Blowdry using a large, flat, paddle brush. Run the brush down through your hair and hold the blowdryer so the heat is blowing down your hair shaft. After you get it totally dry spray some flexible hold hairspray on it and then blowdry on low for a few minuets using the brush to pull it straight.

2. Wash your hair. Let it air dry. Put it up in a pony tail as high as you can get it, actually on top of your head is good and then sleep with it that way. For some reason this makes my hair straighter too.

Your hair sounds exactly like mine, but I use a hair straightener. You really can't get really straight hair w/o using a hair straightner. To get the healthy and shiny hair you could try using garnier frutis or tresemme hair products. They work fabulous.

Welcome to my world. I used to have hair like that. Heres what i did,

1. get layers (optional, but helps-ALOT!!!)

2. use dove fizz control shampoo and conditioner every other night. and dont wash your hair every night, it drys out your hair.

3. put it in a ponytail when you go to sleep.

4. every morning straighten your hair.

I did all of that and now my hair looks stick straigh

I suggest trying to buy a "sleek" shampoo and conditioner [try Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny or Fr鑼卍鑼卹ic Fekkai Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner]. That should help the shine in your hair. As far as blowdrying your hair straight you'll need a large round brush and some heat protectant [V05 makes a cheap one]. Spray the heat protectant through your hair and blow dry chunks of your hair pulling downward to straighten. After you finish use a finishing cream to minimize frizz and to hold your hair. I like John Frieda's Frizz Ease Secret Weapon. Use some hairspray for extra hold if you want.

If you need more help with the blowdrying I suggest searching online for a video tutorial on blow drying! There are tons out there! Good luck!

don't wash your hair everyday that will help with the frizz and dove and pantene products make hair frizz up like no tomorrow. garnier fructis works really well. the other person that said put your hair in a pony tail on top your head is right that works really well. split ends also contributes to bad hair so get that chopped off and layers are always the answer but layers and pink tails and braids don't work well together so make sure your hair is long enough for a pony tail because thats about the only way you can wear it with layers if you want to weat it up.

wearing it half up like in a clip and half down can also reduce the appearance of frizziness.
