Get your hair trimmed at about every month. Shampoo your hair every other day, so you will get rid of any dandruff and flakes in your hair. Sunsilk is the best type of hair brand. It makes your hair look its best all the time. There are many types of sunsilk that are specifically designed to control your frizz, curl, make straight hair, add more bounce and shine to your hair, or just for normal hair. Try not to use heat beauty stylers, such as straightners, crimpers, or tongs, as too much heat damages the hair easily.

Do not tie ur hair tightly when sleeping, it damages and breaks it. Buy a good brand of shampoo and conditioner for ur type of hair (anti-dandruff, anti-frizz etc...) I like Matrix smooth and sleek. Try to use the same brand of shampoo and conditiner. Do not use too much shampoo and do not rub it too hard so as to break hair. wash ur hair not more than 3-4 times a week.
Apply conditioner mostly at the ends and let it stay for atleast a few minutes. Rinse gently but thoroughly. Reapply conditioner for frizzy hair.
Towel cover ur hair for few minutes and towl dry it gently. If u are blow drying/ironing/curling ur hair, try to use a protecting serum (I like easy straight brand) and never blow dry on hottest setting or for too long.
Apply some protective serum to avoid sun damage and pollution-damage. I like secret weapon by john freida.
Trim ur hair every 2-3 months if u have dry/split end problems.
Try to wear a cap/hat in extreme weathers. drink plenty of water and supplement ur diet with protein, vitamins and minerals for a healthy hair. Some studies have shown that hair fall may be a sign of iron deficiency.
