How long would it take to grow if I cut my hair?

My hair is super healthy; never dyed or streaked it before. It is at my bra line in the back in length. I am wondering if I cut it about an inch above my shoulders, in a year, how long do you think it should be. Reason being is that I am getting married next year in September and don't want short hair but I want to try something new right now. How long you think it would get by then?
