What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

Shampoo, Conditioner, Brands etc.. HELP, my hair is healthy but in this humidity it looks like ?i just put my finger in a lightsocket.

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

I have hair that is fine and curly, and I live in Indiana where humidity is around 90%....you can just imagine!!!

I have started using that new Sunsilk stuff. I use the Anti Poof shampoo and conditioner and the anti-frizz hair gel/cream stuff and it seems to be doing pretty good so far. I was surprised. I bought it at Target, so you can get it just about anywhere I assume.

I haven't checked it out during the rain yet...that is always the true test!

BTW, YES! fine hair can get frizzy. Don't believe me? My WHOLE family has fine, curly hair that gets kinky, frizzy curls in the summer humidity.

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

If your hair frizzes, it is not fine girlfriend. PEACE!

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

I had some flyaway/friz problems. I went and got some pantene-proV anti-frizz. It's in a small glass pump bottle and it's lasted me well over a year. You just apply about 2 pumps and rub through your hair after you shower. It works wonders!

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

gurl i have CURLY hair and i use this moisturizing mousse called condition by calirol 3-in-1 extra care and u put it in after u wash ur hair and then tie ur hair in a loose ponytail and let it dry by itself and then incase there is more frizz juss add some more of that mousse and it only cost like $3 at the most u can get it at walgreens i think they have it at walmart too. yea and it gives ur hair a shine which is real nice

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

pantene pro-v

What hair care product do you recommend for fine hair that is curly and frizzes in humidity.?

my hair is also curly and also frizzes in humid weather, but i've found thermasilk moisture infusing shampoo and conditioner to be helpful...also when it's damp add a little suave mousse to give it a strong hold, but soft touch look

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

Which is the healthiest for your hair?

Wash it once everyday?

Wash it every other day?

Wash it every two days?

Wash it three times a week?

How many times should you wash it?

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

Wash it once a day or once every other day (either one is fine) and use USDA certified organic shampoo.

Washing your hair more than once every day or every other day is a waste of water and bad for the environment, and also is bad for your hair - excessive washing isn't good for it. And if you wash it less than every other day, it will get a bit oily and dirty. I wash mine either once a day or every other day - it depends on how busy I am. haha

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

I wash it every other day. I take a shower everyday, I just don't use shampoo everyday because it dries out your hair.

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

wash it once a day.I wash mine once a day and my hair VERY heathly.

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

okay so my hair stylist told me to wash my hair about every 2 days because if you wash it too much, your hair will dry out and it won't have any nutrients left in it.

i am a swimmer so i wash my hair everyday, however.

but if you don't swim then 1-2 days. hope i helped!

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

No more then every other day unless you do cardio that makes you sweat.

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

everyday but people say your soposed to do it everyother day, but I think that sounds gross......

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

I wash mine everyday but your not spose to your spose to wash it every other day but the day you don't wash it take a shower and wash it with condishener. i ahve gresey hair so i can't do that but my hair is my worst feature so wutever.

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

i heard that the healthiest for your hair would be to wash it every two days but if it's itchy greasy or it smells then you can just wash it whenever. and washing it everyday is really bad for your hair because your hair has natural oils that keep your hair healthy and by washing it everyday washes off those oils from your hair and makes your hair brittle and less healthy.

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

ONLY 2 TIME A WEEK SHAMPOO DAMAGES YOUR HAIR IF YOU WASH IT TOO MUCH..........

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

You can wash it everyday but you need a really good shampoo and conditioner.. I wash mine every other day.. using a good shampoo and conditioner. I spurge and buy the expensive stuff

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

oily hair - every other day, BUT WET it with warmer water everyday.

normal hair - every other day.

thick straight hair - every other day, or every two days.

thick curly hair - 2 to 3 days.

Hope this helps you!

About how many times should you wash your hair a week?

i wash my hair once a week or somtimes twice

How can my hair become soft?

my hair is becoming rough day by day.how can i make my hair smooth

and look healthy.suggest me for low cost, and are there any tips which

we can make in home.my hair is becoming rough eccesively at bottom. also suggest how can i remove my splitens at end of my hair.answer for me plese................ my age is 18.and having long hair.

bye......................................

How can my hair become soft?

3. Use a simple cr猫me rinse 鈥?not a conditioner 鈥?with few ingredients.

4. Add your cr猫me rinse to HOT water (you鈥檙e hair is strong 鈥?it can handle it!) and

double or triple the concentration recommended on the product鈥檚 label. Keep it on

your hair for at least 15 mins.

5. Rinse with warm water for a longer time than you鈥檙e probably used to. Take at least

a minute 鈥?60 seconds are longer than you think.

6. Use a towel and pat your hair and gently absorb the water Don鈥檛 rub! You don鈥檛 want

to create friction that will roughen up the shaft.

8. After you鈥檝e dried your hair, rub a little facial moisturizer onto your palms and run

them through your hair. Then brush your hair to distribute the moisturizer.

Break an Egg on your wet scalp and rub it gently.

Leave it for a few minutes while you bathe.

Rinse, apply shampoo, rinse again, apply very little conditioner, cover your hair with a showever cap, stand under a warm shower/ running tap for a few mins, let your scalp feel a little sweaty. Then wash off.

Comb your hair with a wide toothed comb under the showever itself to set it. DONT use the dryer, just pat dry.

mix 2 eggs with 2 tablespoon of olive oil, put on your hair for 30 minutes and wash it

If u wash your hair with an egg its great conditioner, shiny n silky.

break the egg into a small bowl mix it up n apply 2 hair let sit for about 5 min then rinse rinse rinse

mix the egg with curd

Apply egg yolk to your hair around half an hour before washing your hair. Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo, and follow up with a conditioner

This is crazy... But put mayo on your dry hair and let it sit as long as you want. The vitamins in it add moisture to your hair and the longer you keep it on the better off you are. And to get rid of the stink add some shampoo to the mayo hair and put a cap over it. But it honestly works i use this method...

To recondition the hair, shampoo hair with homemade shampoo or a shampoo from the natural foods store. Rinse and towel dry. Apply real mayonnaise to the hair. Massage in. Let sit for 10-15 minutes, shampoo again lightly and rinse with an apple cider vinegar and water solution.

I understand that after shampooing your hair, rub in mayonaise and let it set for about 15 miutes before rinsing. Hope this helps

try to put mayo all over your hair and cover with a shower cap for about 30 mins.

Hair Conditioner:

I use mayonnaise to periodically condition my hair (do not use miracle whip-real mayonnaise only). Apply mayo to dry hair, work through thoroughly. Cover with plastic cap, wrap in warm towel and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Wash as usual. Leaves hair shiny and conditions it also

Avocado Deep Conditioner

Ingredients:

Directions:

1 small jar of mayonnaise

1/2 avocado

Peel avocado and remove pit. Mash avocado then mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl with your hands until it's a consistent green color. Smooth into hair. Use shower cap or plastic wrap to seal body heat in. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning wrap a hot, damp towel around your head over the plastic, or use a hair dryer set to a low to medium heat setting. Store extra in refrigerator.

To treat hard hair

Mix castor and coconut oil and massage into the roots gently followed with a turban therapy. To soften hair further, you can apply mayonnaise to the hair once a week. Leave on for 30 mins and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo.

Hot oil treatments work okay, but for the best results use a product called "hair mayo". It works R E A L L Y well. I also use a product line called "Smooth and Shine". It makes my hair sparkle like diamonds.DO NOT USE REGULAR MAYONAISE!

Hot Oil Conditioner

Ingredients:

Directions:

1/2 cup olive oil

1/2 cup boiling water

Combine ingredients then warm on low heat. Massage mixture into the scalp and hair. Wrap hair in a hot towel for 15 minutes. Shampoo %26amp; rinse out.

before u wash put warm olive oil or sesame seed oil in ur hair and cover with a shower cap like the ones u get in hotels to keep ur hair dry in shower. leave on for at least an hour, put ur shampoo bottle in hot water, and when it is warm wash ur hair and condition.

Fruit Salad Deep Conditioner

Ingredients:

Directions:

1/2 a banana,

1/4 cantaloupe

tablespoon wheat germ oil

1 tablespoon yogurt

Blend all ingredients. Apply to hair. For extra conditioning, squeeze in the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Leave in hair for 15 minutes. Then rinse.

How to Treat Dry, Rough %26amp; Wavy Hair

Ingredients

Almond oil

5 tbsp. of honey

Steps

Massage your hair with warm almond oil.

Apply 5 tablespoons of honey on the scalp and hair.

Put on a warm towel on your head, as if it was a turban.

Let it set for an hour.

Shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

Use a cold water rinse (this closes hair shafts, makes hair shiny, and lessens the chance of breakage and split ends).

Tips

There will be a noticeable difference as soon as you shampoo.

Regular oiling and conditioning will make your hair soft and manageable.

You can warm up a towel by tossing it in a dryer.

To treat rough hair with split ends

Massage half a tsp each of honey and almond hair oil into the scalp gently and wrap your hair in a shower cap. Leave on for at least half an hour and wash off. Do this treatment for twice a week for a month.

Oil- 2 a week, 1 a week

Egg- 2 a week, 1 a week

Mayonnaise 鈥?1 a week

These conditioners you use before shampooing:

First of all an egg yolk makes a great conditioner for your hair. Simply mix it with 2 tsp of a castor oil and massage into your hair. Rinse thoroughly. *You might want to spend some time researching castor oil. Did you know that this plant can grow to the size of a small tree in Africa.

One raw egg...

Whisk one or two raw eggs together and then work into your hair. Allow to dry and then shampoo out, followed by a vinegar and water rinse. This treatment will soften your hair nicely. Repeat about once a month.

You can also mix an egg yolk with 1/4 cup of yogurt, and a little lemon rind. Again work it gently into your hair and then rinse thoroughly. *Plain yogurt is another beauty staple that you will want to stock up on. It has lots of uses.

A small avocado mashed and combined with an egg yolk is another moisturizing mask for your hair. Apply to hair and then go and read a magazine for 15 minutes while the ingredients go to work. Rinse out and then shampoo and condition thoroughly.

These conditioners you use after shampooing:

Beat a couple of egg yolks with a tablespoon or two of water depending on the length of your hair and then rinse after 15 minutes.

If you use a whole egg, whisk with a little lemon juice and condition your hair with this concoction. It will add incredible shine as it has removed previous product buildup.

How can my hair become soft?

Man juice i here works good. :)

How can my hair become soft?

Try using coconut milk!

It's the cheapest way ever!!!!

How can my hair become soft?

I am 16 and I also had the same problem I tried GARNIER FRUCTIS(FOR DRY HAIR) and it worked. My splitens, rough %26amp; dead hair turned out to be healthy. Also cut your hair upto 1 inch.I hope it will work.Best of luck.Believe me it'll work!!!!!!!!!

How can my hair become soft?

First, trim those split ends, get a haircut (if you don't want it too short, just tell them to get rid of the split ends). Then, you need to use conditioner. If you're looking for a brand that's not expensive, Pantene Pro-V works well. If your budget is bigger, ask in the hair salon, they will tell you about professional brands that work excellent for your specific type of hair.

If you want to do something at home, you can mash avocadoes, and put them in your hair and leave them there, wrap your hair with plastic and let the warmth and the avocado paste work for up to half an hour. Then rinse.

A trick that my mom taught me is also to leave the conditioner in my hair (do not rinse it, until you wash your hair again). After a few weeks, you should see the difference. Also, don't wash your hair every day, do it every other day.

Finally, don't use a brush or a thin comb in your hair, look for those combs that are big and spread out. That will prevent you from getting more split ends.

Taking Care of Hair

http://www.askaquery.com/Answers/qn1535....

How can my hair become soft?

I have long hair, But my hair is natural and i don't dye/bleach it what so ever. I don't use a straightener or a hair dryer. do you do any of those things.?...Cause i reckon it dry's your hair and makes it brittle, but you most likely already know that DOH! Put Henna in it or some sort of oil like almond, calendula oil, there's also Neem oil. then wash it out!!! Hot oil!! aswell. try it all, the less chemicals the better too.

How can my hair become soft?

have you tried Loreal elseve's product? I do. Coz of colored and rebonded hairs I've got my hair brittle and dry very bad..but after I use the shampoo and the masker, I can get my healthy hair back. so I think try to find the product It can use at home and very easy. Or I have another solution, find coconut, blend with small water and pressed the blend to get the milk essence ( usually we use it for cooking) put it into refrigerator. take it out after 2-3 days ( just take the upper milk then you poured it to your hair leave it in 1 hour . do it regularly, I'm sure you'll get your new healthy hair grow. ( but it have quite bad smells) :(

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

I have healthy long, shiny hair, I just got out of the shower and I don't feel like blow drying it because it takes too long. Is there anything I can do to avoid blowdrying it, but still have it look great in the morning? I heard if you put it in a bun, my hair will have great waves by the morning...does this work...any other ideas?

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

If you dont feel like blowdrying your hair,Just take a towel and dry it.Then french braid your hair, and by the morning, your hair will look perfectly wavy!

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

braid your hair or put it in french braids. it will be nice and wavy in the morning. try spraying some kind of hairspray on it... and it will be even wavier. it works on me! : )

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

My friends usually braids her hair and leaves it over night. It gives nice waves. I would recommend you do 2 layers of braids for the top part and the bottom part of your hair.

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

Definately two french braids- that works very well, but is a little time consuming. I put my damp hair into a bun at night sometimes and have great, sexy, wavy hair the next day.

But, if you put it into a bun, I find gel the next day helps keep it wavy. If you opt for the french braids, I find NO gel is necessary

Hope whatever you do works well!

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

Take a good strong holding moose and distribute througout your hair. Then, take small-med size sections of your hair and roll them into small buns. Pin the buns to your head with bobby pins, or even small elastics. With about five to six buns in your hair (securely held), you should wake up in the morning with curly locks. Be sure to do your bangs seperately if you want them especially curly.

Don't feel like blowdrying hair tonight...?

braiding is a good idea mind were the part ends up as it will be there till you wash your hair again , i do mine sometimes in three braids both sides and the back looks funny as hell but in the morning its nice and wavy

My hair problem?

i have black thick hair i mean thick

i cant do nothing at all to my hair except keeping it down

and it gets annoying cause then its all in my way

what are some good do's for thick hair

and some good tips on how to keep healthy and good looking hair

(i mean i dont want it anymore i want it like regular girls hair is there something i can do to get rid of some of my thick hair?)

HELP:(

My hair problem?

Try thinning shears from the beauty supply. I have thick hair too, so I know how you feel. Some days I woke up and it was like a bush! The shears help a lot and it lays down nice and smooth like it should. Layers didn't work to well for me cuz then I lost the weight on the bottom of the hair from the thickness and it flew up where the layers were. I took me a thousand years to grow them out, but for me the lighter the hair the more it wandered off in it's own hair world. :)

My hair problem?

straightening it of course but get a conair one I have one and its great.

My hair problem?

get it thinned.

and layered.

My hair problem?

Getting it cut into layers is a good way to thin it up. :)

Why can't you pull it back into a ponytail?

My hair used to be really really thick, and I got it cut into layers and now I love it and it's so easy to work with!

My hair problem?

When you go to your hair dressers ask them to thin it out i get it done every time it makes your hair more managable. also try pulling the fronts of your hair back to hold it out of your face!

My hair problem?

strighting it it will look cute then you can make a cute style

My hair problem?

take a hair vitamin called biotin it grows your hair makes it not thin not thick just in the middle and it makes it softer. its found in drug stores Walgreen's cvs pharmacy's osco drug target basically any store with medicine

My hair problem?

You can always get it thinned out the next time you get your hair cut.

My hair problem?

you could we your hair dresser to layer it and cut out some of the layers that what my mom as done because she as super think cruly hair it gets all noted underneeth so they cut those bottom layers out

My hair problem?

i know what you mean..mine too. when its a pony tail it looks like a horses mane and when i straighten it i have to do it in layers to make sure it gets done all the way. but you don't want to get rid of it because most girls would kill for think hea;thy hair. but if you cut it maybe shoulder length or w.e. it will probably make it easier to straighten. but the longer my hair is the easier it is for me to wear it naturally because it weighs it down so ig et like beach waves but if its short than i HAVE to straighten it so it doesn't poof and frizz. if you cut layers in it it will make it fuller and more poofy if you don't straighten it and harder to straighten too (trust me i know) it takes me 2 hours to straighten mine effectivley. try using garnier frutis fiber gum when your hair is wet ..well dampened after the shower ...brush it through and than blowdry /straighten it keeps it down a lot...ok well bye

My hair problem?

You may need to find a stylist that is experienced with various types of afro american hair and have a consultation. Remedies may include a relaxer (a chemical straightner last a few months at a time). Maybe a change in conditior and the regular use of a pomade. To me it sounds like you may need a gentle relaxer.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it tha

Your mom is right, you should go for the complete bikini wax job.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

you're probably getting spit ends from ironing it too much! cut the split ends out for sure, to keep it healthy.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Trim it... that will promote growth and help it become healthy. As far as your bangs, I don't know. Also get a leave in conditioner that will help with split-ends.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

trimming your hair is good. it revitalizes it and helps it grow better. once your ends are dead it makes your hair hard to grow.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

If they don't get cut ur hair will not grow. Go to a salon and ask to get ur hair layered

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Get a hair cut every month or so. And take care if your hair like you should.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

You are supposed to get a trim every 6-8 weeks. It keeps your hait healthy and helps it grow.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

get this shampoo " finesse." and yes cut your hair.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

believe me it is when u have split ends ur hair doesn't grow right. but watch once u get those cut off just watch how fast and evenly it grows out.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

the only way to get rid of splits is to cut them...then use a hot oil treatment. your hair should be trimmed 1/4 inch every 4-6 weeks! mom doesnt always know best huh?

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Deep conditioning masks. Get your hair trimed. if you keep it trimed it will grow faster and healther.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Split ends continue on splitting until the strand can no longer be split.

Sound hairdressing advice is to cut/trim your hair. That is the only way to get healthy looking hair.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Trimming is the ONLY way to get rid of split ends. And while you're at the salon, ask the hairstylist how to reduce the number of split ends - I'd bet that the ironing is probably the main culprit.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

definitely trim it!! not only will it be healthier but it will grow faster.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

You should definatley trim your hair... those split ends arn't going to dissapear by themselves. Also, when you do go to get your hair cut ask your hairdresser to give you a deep condition. You will have to pay a little more, but it is well worth it. Your hair will be beautiful again.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

yes trim your hair, dead ends cause the hair to not grow properly.. and cause your hair to frizz

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

You definetly need to have it trimmed. For 2 reason, to eliminate the split ends and get to the healthy hair and it will also grow better if you trim a little bit every 6wks. After you trim your hair when you condition in the shower, get a lg. toothed comb and comb the conditioner through before you rinse. It will also help if you don't iron your hair more than 3 times per week.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Trim a little bit at a time, let it grow out and trim again. Don't cut it all at once- you'll be upset with the results because it will be too short. Just take really good care of it with a fortifying conditioner and wait for it to grow back each time before you trim more. Eventually you'll be split end free.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Trim will help get rid of the ones you have.

Then you should start using products to keep your hair healthy since flat-ironing it causes lots of damage. I like Infusium-23 but there are tons of products and leave in conditioners and treatments that will help restore the moisture that the heat depletes.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

You need to trim the split ends if not they may start spliting all the way up to you scalp and then you hair will start falling out. I trim mine by putting my head down and brushing all my hair down over my eyes thenI cut off about an inch or two. Then I wash and condition it. Split ends can really damage your hair.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

yeah its a good idea to trim it. but dont trim it too much unless u want short hair.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

yeah u need to get it trimmed regularly to keep your hair in good condition

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Yes, trimming the hair stops the split ends from splitting the hair higher up, it will look %26amp; feel healthier and make sure you use something on your hair when you iron it , that protects it from the heat.

Hope this helps !

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

i get split ends from time to time, so trime my hair and it grows back evenly. also i use a good shampoo and conditioner

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

I have extremely dry hair, so I get split ends very easily. What has helped me over the years is making sure I get my hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks. Additionally, using silicone based hair products helps protect the cuticle from split ends. Also, instead of leave in conditioner, I put normal conditioner in (about the size of a quarter) to help with my dry hair. The drier your hair is, the more likely it will split. I checked with my hairdresser, and she said with my hair texture, leaving regular conditioner in has definetly helped. Hope this helps.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

If you dont trim your hair the split ends will just keep opening apart along the hair shaft and eventually end up breaking everytime you brush it. Just trim like an inch or even further if you see the split ends are higher. Dont worry your hair wil grow fast enough to get to the length you have it now.

I have alot of split ends in my hair. i think i shud trim my hair but my mom doesn't kno it thats a good idea?

Trimming your hair will cut out many of the split ends and make your hair healthier as well as looking smoother and shinier. You should do that regularly, even if you don't want it cut much. And don't use curling irons or straightening irons too often - they will dry out your hair and cause more split ends.

How often is it neccessary to get your hair cut?

I take really good care of my hair I deep condition it alot and i use color smart matrix and abba organic hair reconstructer. I don't use any heating tools and I only dye my naturally bright blonde hair black every 3 months. Right now my hair is about 4 inches past my collar bone and i want to grow it out at least a foot or at least long enough so it is at level with my belly button. How long will it take me and what is the least often i can get my ends trimmed? Also any tips to make it grow faster/healthier? Or any hair dye that will do less damage? Thanx for any advice in advance.

How often is it neccessary to get your hair cut?

i have waist length hair and would say you need to get your hair trimmed like 1/4th of an inch at least every 3 months to keep it healthy. it should take you about a year and a half to get it to your belly button.

How often is it neccessary to get your hair cut?

i cut my hair two or three times a year

How often is it neccessary to get your hair cut?

Well, I have layered hair about 5 inches below my shoulder. Because it's layered, it looks terrible once it grows 1/2 an inch. I cut it every 4-6 weeks. I would say it would take about a year.

Tips to grow faster/healthier

Trim slit ends even before your entire head is full of them. Once you can notice 2 or 3 easily, its time for a trim.

I always trim split ends every month. If not, your hair doesn't grow as fast.

How often is it neccessary to get your hair cut?

at most once a month. my parlor man said that if you at least trim your hair once a month it will be silky and strong. thats what happened to me. i got proof.:) goodluck!

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

now, i must say that my hair is quite healthy for i never do ANYTHING to it and use pretty nice shampoos and conditioners... but sometimes, i just wanna straighten it. I used to be able to just use a straightening iron but i think my hair got coarser or something because i can't anymore. It comes out icky and stick-like. Sooo what do you curly haired girls do?

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

take it by parts ..

it may take long but it will get the job done .

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

well i do sections by sections and the hair that i am not using at the moment i put it up in a clip it takes me about 1hour to 1 hour and 30 mins

i hope i could help!!!!

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

You def need to use product before you flat iron your hair. Like a silicone clear liquid thats shiny. take small sections. start at the nape of your neck and clip up the rest of your hair..and stay neat..use a comb first followed by your iron. Sounds to me like you may be using the wrong product. and it could be your cut as well.

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

My hair is somewhat curly but I'm still able to straighten. Use a hair straightener that goes up to around 400 degrees and pre condition your hair. The conditioner makes it a lot easier and lasts so much longer when curled. Pin up sections and do bit by bit in order to get all the hair straightened. Also, you should hairspray it when it's finished so it holds longer. I use tresemme extra strong hold and spray it all over my hair (maybe five inches away from my head) and then I comb my hair through again. Works great and it manages to stay straight all day.

Good luck. :)

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

You should get a professional hairdresser to do thermal reconstructuring or a relaxer on it.

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

Split your hair into parts, then get a curler and curl the thick hair of yours.

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

Straighten yoyour hair bit by bit

tie up most of you hair in a high bun and straighten the hair which has not been tied up.

once that is straightened release a little bit more hair out and straighten that part

continue this process till ur hair is done

it may take some time but your hair will be straight

and look groovy!

How the heck do you straighteden thick curly hair?

Have you heard of a Relaxer.

They work perfect on my hair, Sometime my Straightener messes up my hair, or makes it really curly and funny looking, most of the time Puffy. So I use a Relaxer. Its like a Moose or Spray that you have to Rub into your hair. It hurts sometimes but it is really worth it. =) U can get it done at a Salon or you can by the product at a Store

Dying hair from a faded black to a dark brown!?

I posted a similar thread but I wanted to dye my hair to a dirty blonde. After reading so much about ruining my hair I've decided that I want to try to go back to a medium-dark brown color, which is my natural color.

I have very thick hair. It's very healthy, as well. I dyed it black about 5 months ago, and now my roots are grown in about 3 inches. The black has faded a bit, and when I hold up my hair outside it seems like I can see more brown than black, but starring in the mirror I just see a faded black with brown roots.

What can I do to get a dark brown or medium brown on the go? With having to visit a salon. Blonde sounds way too hard, but surely brown isn't as hard.

Thank you.

Dying hair from a faded black to a dark brown!?

Hm well I posted on your last question.

K. Black is hard to get out. No matter what. Period.

You need to go to a salon, even if only for the first time, then use box dye after you've gotten the colour you want and you're just touching up your roots.

I am in the process of going blonde, and I had jet black dyed hair. To go dark brown, you still need to put stripper in, and then the dark brown hair dye. Stripper isn't as damaging as bleach. You can't put brown dye over black..because that just wouldnt work, black is too dark...you still need to bleach it.

If you do it at home, you need to bleach the crap out of your whole head...may turn orange...and then dye it dark brown. Don't advise you do this it's very harsh on hair.

I got brown hair (with highlights to make it lighter brown) on the first visit.

What I reccomend you do is go to the salon once, get your dark brown...and from there you can use box dye afterwards when you need to do root touch ups, add some high lights, etc.

Dying hair from a faded black to a dark brown!?

This is still not something that you should be attempting. Here again is why: You have massive regrowth and dark ends. The dark ends must be lightened out and regrowth then matched to that. You are going to encounter a lot of red along the way. You will have to adjust for that. This is tricky work and you should go to a color correction specialist. I fore see "hot" roots in your future with brassy ends if you continue down this path. Best of luck.

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hai

That always puzzled me; you can joke on a woman who puts on a wig, but yet women get braids, weaves and extensions added to their hair all of the time and not joked on and ridiculed by the public. It's still fake hair. Personally, at least with a wig you still have hair on your head when you take it off and it's not coming out. Weave takes your hair out and all of that glue in your head is pulling your natural hair out; so us black women need to stop putting each other down; either way it goes, you still have fake hair on your head whether it's sown in, glued in, braided in or just simply put on. At least with a wig you don't have to worry about your real hair coming out. Your hair is still healthy and growing. Any comments?

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hair?

I don't know why they do that. My mom use to wear wigs when we lived in Wisconsin. She didn't want to have to style her own hair. Also she use to say it was like wearing a cap, it kept her head warm in the cold weather. She always looked nice, it made it easier for her to get ready for work. So, why rip on any one who wants to wear a wig, so what. I think women are just caddy and like things to talk about so maybe wigs are the target!

After my mom moved to Calif. she did eventually stop wearing wigs, guess it was the warmer weather that made her change it up . She let me give her a perm and she started wearing her own hair and like it much better. I miss her, she passed away Thanksgiving of 2004.

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hair?

no

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hair?

Wigs are mostly for those people who have little to no hair. Thats why people where them. With hair weave you need to have hair first off. Weave when applied right can have that natural look.

Why they joke on each other.. a guy may never know.

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hair?

Why address the reasons for ignorant behavior?

Why do women joke on other women who wear wigs, but yet they wear extensions and braids in their hair?

whoever would make fun of someone who wears a wig is a troll! It just makes them feel better about themselves by cruely picking out little things about other people and making a big deal out of them.

Help with scrunching Hair!!?

Ok, so I really want my hair to be able to be scrunched... here we go. I have long, naturally curly, darkish-brown hair. I am abled to straighten and curl and un-frizz and everything except scrunch. I also have medium thick hair, its very healthy because I get a trim every two months, and it's really pretty. I just want to be able to scrunch... please help! %26lt;3

Help with scrunching Hair!!?

i use alberto v05 mousse or herbal essences. once you get out of the shower, flip your hair over, work the mousse throught your hair from the roots to the tips and after making sure all your strands are coated, use your hands and scrunch your hair. almost like grabbing a chunk and letting go, grabbing a chunk and letting go and so on. flip your hair over and then use your fingers to fluff up parts that look a little flat. make sure you scrunch your hair really good on the sides and in the back, otherwise you will just have stiff, straight hair instead of curly. make sure you let your hair air dry and don't touch it too much because then it will get frizzy.

Help with scrunching Hair!!?

get the aussie sprunch spray

Help with scrunching Hair!!?

My hair is really thick so what I do is when it is wet I flip my hair to were I am bending over with my head down and I get gel and you just like squeeze your hair like your grabbing it and you do that to all your hair. Then you get hairspray and put that all over. I use a lot of this because I have so much hair and my hair is very long. That should work for you. Hope I helped.

Help with scrunching Hair!!?

If I were you I would go to a salon and see if they will do it for you and ask them to show you how to do it right so when you are getting ready to go out or something then you will now how to do it.

my hair was really healthy but when i went swimming in chloinated water for two days it really dried it out even tho i washed it right after. so i would leave my conditioner in my hair over night and left it on my end for about a week now when my hair is wet its spongy like and gets matted what should i do to fix this?????? plz help

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

Get an anti-frizz shampoo. I always wash my hair with it after swimming, it helps rejuvenate my hair.

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

try a hair mask. they sell products for ppl who swim in chlorinated water

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

OOOO!!!!!!

UMM R U FIRST STRAIGHTEN IT AND PUT LIL BIT OF OIL....LEAVE IT STRAIGHTENED 4 TWO DAYS STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

THEN WASH IT LEAVE CONDITIONER IN FOR HALF HOUR AND RINSE IT OUT!!!!

WORKED 4 ME!!

閳?br>Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

get some deep conditioner and use it in the shower, their is no need to leave conditioner on your hair overnight or for days, use it daily, you may want to try some datangeling spray too, but if you get some good deep conditioner like panteene and use it every day for about 3-6 days your hair should be back to normal

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

You shoudln't have left your conditioner in overnight for starters, its a cardinal rule of haircare. Go back to your usual routine, wash twice, condition once and make sure all of your conditioner is OUT before you get out of the shower. If your hair still feels slimy, then you haven't rinsed properly. For extra moisture, grab yourself some proper leave-in conditioner and use it at night after you've washed - and completely rinsed- your hair. Do not use the leave in stuff every night as it will make your hair oily. Apply to towel dried damp hair only on the ends, use only after washing and when your sure there is no conditioner left in your hair.

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

u should perm your hair then flat iron it o.k!

Omg plz help my hair!!!!!!!!?

Never leave conditioner on your hair for a week. The best thing to after swimming in a chlorinated pool, is to come home %26amp; shampoo your hair with Pantene ProV that has conditoner in it. Then spray your hair with the Pantene spray in/leave in conditioner. Using a big toothed comb, comb the conditioner to the ends twice.

I am 18 yrs. old. my skin is very dry and hair is extremely rough. Please, Please, Please HELP!!!!!!?

First of all it sounds like this is a condition that you should be discussing with your Dr. since you may have an underlying problem that needs to be addressed. One thought is possible Thyroid issues but it could very well be something else causing it.

You also need to ddrink penty of fluids like water, you don't have to over-do it on the water though. Biolage shampoo and conditioner is a wonderful moisturizer for your hair and is sold in salons. Use a moisturizing body wash like Oil of Olay ribbons and plenty of moisturizer, I prefer the Johnson's moisturizer... smells wonderful and works great for me. As for the face you will need to experiment, I have very sensitive skin and am always having to change my moisturizers... there are also moisturizing foundations, you just have to read the labels. Best of luck to you.

You are missing something in your diet. Drink plenty of water, eat lots of vegetables, but mostly try to eat fish if you can. Salmon is the best, but might not be available in your area...Otherwise take supplements with Omega fatty acids, you can buy fish oil capsules or flaxseed oil capsules. Or you can use a coffee grinder to grind flaxseed to put in your food.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

My hair is wavy and i usally let it air-dry.My hair is very healthy but I was wondering what is the healthier way.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Hey there,

Air dry is alot better. Blow drying drys your hair out. I have a couple of hair tips if you want. Oh, sorry that it is long.

Recipes For Shiny Hair

To give your hair a great shine and help remove soap build up.

Blondes 閳?Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.

Brunettes and Redheads 閳?Add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

Stir 1 teaspoon honey into 4 cups (1 quart) warm water. After shampooing, pour mixture through hair. Do not rinse out. Dry as normal.

Fruit Smoothie Hair Mask

Blend 1/2 a banana, 1/4 cantaloupe, 1/4 avocado, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt. For extra conditioning, squeeze in the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Leave in hair for 15 minutes.

Honey %26amp; Olive Oil Hair Mask

Mix 1/2 cup honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Shampoo well and rinse.

Dandruff Treatment

Boil 7 heaping tablespoons dried thyme in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Strain and cool. Pour 1/2 mixture over clean, damp hair. Massage into scalp, do not rinse. Use the rest of the solution another day.

Yogurt Hair Mask

Beat 1 egg white until foamy. Add to 6 tablespoons plain natural yogurt. Apply to hair in small sections at a time. Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse.

Egg %26amp; Olive Oil Hair Mask

Mix two whole eggs with four tablespoons of olive oil. Smooth through hair. Wrap head with plastic wrap, and leave in hair for 10 minutes. Rinse well.

The recipes below are from creativehomemaking.com

Conditioners

Mayonnaise is a great conditioner for dry hair. Depending on the length of your hair, apply approximately 1/2 cup of mayonnaise to your dry hair. Work into hair really well and then cover your hair with a plastic bag, allowing to set for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then shampoo as usual.

In a blender or food processor, combine 2 1/2 tablespoons dried milk, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil, and 1 egg. Apply evenly to hair and let set for at least an hour. Shampoo and style as usual.

Hair Setting Lotions

Try dissolving a teaspoon of gelatin in a cup of warm water and use this as a setting lotion before styling hair. You can use this as a liquid or chill it and use it as a gel.

Dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar in 1 cup warm water and apply to damp hair before styling.

Combine 4 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons honey in a glass jar with a lid and shake until well blended. Let mixture sit for 3 to 4 days, and shake it occasionally. Rub mixture evenly into dry hair and wrap hair in plastic wrap, letting set for at least an hour. Shampoo as usual.

Mix together 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 egg. Apply to hair and let set for about an hour. Shampoo as usual.

To help a flaky scalp, warm 2 to 3 tablespoons vegetable oil in the microwave (make sure it閳ユ獨 not too hot!) and then gently apply to scalp with cotton balls. Let set for at least an hour and then shampoo as usual.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

let it air dry... blowdrying it dries out the hair cells

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Definitely air dry- it is not damaging at all and blowdrying is.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

air dry! no split ends that way!

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Air-dry is definately healthier. But blow drying can be a bit healthier than normal with a difuser.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

air-dry. Blow dry burns it.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

blow dry it.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

air for me because my hair is really puffy

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Well blowdrying is heat styling so obviously letting it air dry is healthiest.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Air-drying it is a lot healthier. Blow drying it will just cause split ends in the long run, and won't look so pretty. Stick with air-drying it =D

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

air-drying is healthier...the less heat the better.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Air dry makes you more suceptable to getting sick if your in a cold house or if your about to go outside when it's cold out. You should blow dry with a cold air setting. Blow drying it might not be good if you have frizzy or curly hair, but if you have straight sleek hair it is good because it helps volumize.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

air dry is more healthier for your hair. But usually if you're going to do something to your hair like curl, straighten you should blow dry it cuz it gives you better results.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

it is healthier to let it air dry because when you blow dry your hair your drying it out.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Drying one way or the other does not matter provided the hair dryer is not on super hot. However air drying, gives you a better chance to catch a cold.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Air dry is definately better. You don't dry out your hair and damage it that way. Blow drying no doubt, does make it look better though. If you don't want the waves in your hair blow drying would also help with that.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

healthy

+: air dry

- : blow dry

looking good (no matter how healthy ur hair is)

+ : blow dry

- : air dry

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Air-drying your hair is sooooo much better than blowing-drying it. Your hair dries out a lot faster if you blow-dry it. Trust me.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

To blow dry it so that it will not be a animal.

Is it better to let your hair air-dry or blow dry it?

Let it air dry, it might take longer to dry,but you can get damage hair from the hair dryer.

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

For men

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Making sure you get enough of the nutrients that support healthy hair growth...you cannot build strong hair without the right vitamins. Also, be kind to the hair you have, keep heat styling and alcohol-based products like gels to a minimum since they dry and damage the hair. Be careful when hair is wet after washing, don't rip and shred at it when brushing or combing, always start at the ends and work the tangles out patiently...then move up closer to your head as you get the lower hair tangle-free.

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Bleaching your hair damages it alot, so does sun bathing. Buy some good hair products, and take B-vitamins.

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Hot oil treatments every week makes the hair healthy and shiney..u can use henna too

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Most important is low stress. Stress causes hair to grow unevenly and weak with lots of breakage.

Also, good diet and exercise improve it. I know because about 3 and a half months ago I started working out and my hair is smoother and more evenly coloured now.

Once it's grown, I don't think products can do much to 'restore' it. It's dead. It's just important to preserve it by not exposing it to abrassion or harsh chemicals or heat.

Models don't wash it often and they use a silk pillow case for their hair lol.

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Regardless if your a man or woman the answer is moisture. Your hair needs to be moisturize daily. Start with a hair cream with natural herbs and minerals and vitamins and apply to hair then message it in. You will see a big difference.

What is the secret of a strong and healthy hair?

Hair is dead tissue -- you can't actually make it healthy. BUT you can make it look healthy by using moisturizers and B vitamins, especially if you blow dry. Also, don't use cheap shampoos. Salon products are expensive, but it is because they are better. Redken has an excellent line, as well as Paul Mitchell.

Yes. On average your hair grows half an inch each month, more or less. Deep conditioning and not putting too much heat on it will make it grow back much healthier.

Do you think My hair can get like this by the end of next summer??

yep, definitely no use of heat and less damage on your hair is essential for healthy hair. I used to have reaaaaaaaaally long hair and it was super damaged so I cut it really short like two years ago and kept it short for a while, but now I'm growing it out and in the process I wear hair extensions everyday :)

Is long blonde hair in style?

i acctually don't see that much blonde hair anymore. lots of girls are dying it a darker brown. but i think if you cut it a little bit and add some layers and highlights you'd look cute.

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

My hair is very thick and I've been growing it long. It's now about halfway down my back. My problem is that the outer layers of my hair are very healthy and shiny, but the layer underneath, closest to my neck is very thin and has started to break. I've noticed split ends and dullness. I asked my hair stylist if she could trim these areas, but she said it would look uneven to trim them and not the rest of my hair. I've tried hot wax treatments, heat-styling protection, and special conditioners. I feel like I'm just wasting money. Does anyone have any other ideas? Sorry this was such a long question.

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

ask them to razor your hair and thin it out it will help

or ask them to cut it with texturizing scissors because it doesn't chop of length as much as getting rid of split ends and thinning

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

Use a conditioner on your hair and leave it on for like 5 minutes try putting a hair cap on over your hair with the conditioner mixed into your hair and leave on for 5 minutes to let your body heat work with your hair this will help bring back some of the dullness. The split ends are split, but this will help it look shinier and a little healthier. Good Luck! Do this every other day at least!

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

Well, ther's a puzzeler for ya!

If I'm getting this right, when you put your hair into a pony tail, the underneath is what is bothering you? Do you wear it up alot?? How often are you having it cut? Sounds to me like you DO need that cut but ti's really hard for me understand. Is your stylist thinking that you want ALL of your hair cut to that length? Sorry hunny....I just can't seem to get it without a picture. If you could post one, that would be great. See if you can get someone to take a pic of what your talking about. Sounds to me like cutting it underneath shouldn't be a problom if I'm gettin' you.

Sorry I wasen't much help!

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

You can't expect your hair to grown if you have split ends. When I was in middle school my hair was really long but I had split ends really bad--when my stylist chopped it all off my hair grew big time.....I don't think that it would look right if you cut underneath just cut it especially if it has grown this far it wouldn't be a problem for it to grow back.

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

yeah, tell your hair dresser that she suppose to give good advice and cut it it will grow back.

Split ends on part of my hair, but not another?

IS THIS YOU? YOU'RE GORGEOUS, WHO IS GOING TO LOOK UNDERNEATH? IT'S USUALLY THE OTHER WAY AROUND,IT'S USUALLY ON TOP WHEN IT IS THAT WAY.DON'T LOOK FOR SOMETHING NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE. THIS PIC LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE STAR, SURE YOU'RE NOT PULLING OUR LEG?

Dry, fine, brittle, staticky, yet almost oily hair?

I have fairly fine medium brown hair. In the winter it gets so dry that it breaks really badly when I'm brushing it, put it in a ponytail, anything. I have tried only washing it every other day, but then it seems like it's getting greasy. Sooo.... is there a shampoo/conditioner combination or a product that will help my hair? I'm a new mom and I don't have a lot of time but I really want my hair to be healthy. It seems really healthy during the summers, but it always gets like this in the winter.

Dry, fine, brittle, staticky, yet almost oily hair?

for oily hair, take baby powder, put it at the part of your hair then rub gently with your fingers. for static, I use Biosilk Silk Therapy. it works great and keeps your hair soft all day.

How long would it take to grow if I cut my hair?

My hair is super healthy; never dyed or streaked it before. It is at my bra line in the back in length. I am wondering if I cut it about an inch above my shoulders, in a year, how long do you think it should be. Reason being is that I am getting married next year in September and don't want short hair but I want to try something new right now. How long you think it would get by then?

How long would it take to grow if I cut my hair?

on an average, hair grows at the rate of 6 inches annually. The secret formula for hair growth is to see that hair remains healthy. So try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.

How long would it take to grow if I cut my hair?

hair grows on the average about 1/2 per month so about six inches a year.

How long would it take to grow if I cut my hair?

The average would say about 6 inches so 5 inches below the shoulder. It could be shorter if your hair grows slowly longer if it grows fast.

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

She's beautiful, but her hair has a lot of split ends and theres always "flyaways" or whatever its called. I finally convinced her to get it trimmed. Is it okay to tell her that her hair will be shinier, smoother, and healthier now?? Her hair is down to her elbow and she only wants it trimmed to "look as pretty as the other girls do with their perfect hair"

help please?!

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

you were right in telling her that because its true tell her that her hair will grow stronger and shinnier

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

yea it's perfectly fine to tell her that her hair is healthier and shiner now. i think it will encourage her to cut her hair more often. she'll really appreciate it in the long run. hope i helped.

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

I can't believe her Mother hasn't had it trimmed for her before. However, yes. You are right in telling her this. Might be nice, too, if you could give her some pictures of women with long beautiful hair and show her what she will look like. That might help motivate her into keeping her hair perfect!!

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

I'm not so sure if it will change just because she got it cut,she should use shampoo for split ends

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

A hairstylist can trim up her hair and it will look MUCH better. MY daughter hasn't had a trim up in over three years and the ends were split and scraggly. She just had it trimmed up .... it's an amazing difference .... before it was long hair, now it's beautiful long hair !!!!!

My niece is 11 and has never cut her hair.?

If she loves her long hair there is no reason to cut it. If she has a lot of splits a small trim would help address them and leave her length intact. The flyaways are likely just new hair growing in, or her halo. Nothing to worry about. A little aloe gel or styling gel or a very light spritz of hairspray will keep them better contained.

She needs to learn to take better care of her hair so that she doen't have so many splits in the future. Using gentle products on it, not piling it on her head and scrubbing it when she washes it, using a good, slippy conditioner so that she won't have to rip through tangles. Brushing carefully and never when her hair is wet. Avoiding all heat, like blow dryers, curling irons and flat irons. Another good thing for her to do is learn to wear her hair in braids and up to protect her length and ends. Especially if she plans to grow her hair to very long lengths. :)

I need to re-dye my hair to a lighter shade. How long should I wait?

Obviously, the best choice is a professional, which I am considering and is my first choice; however, if I did decide to do it with another box kit, what would be the recommendation? I was trying to go back to a natural dark blonde, which is what most of my hair was, but I wanted to cover old lighter highlights that were growing out at the bottom third of my long hair, which is in healthy shape (save for the fact that it was just dyed yesterday). The Feria natural dark blonde shade (Chardonnary) actually made my hair darker overall and REDDISH, which clashes with the pink undertones in my skin. The hair itself is a rather pretty color. It just doesn't work on my skin, and isn't close to the box. Why did a neutral color bring out red that wasn't in my hair to begin with, and why would a permanant color make it DARKER? I'm baffled. I'll live with the clash as long as I have to do so to take care of my hair. I just don't like it a bit. Thanks in advance for your answers!

I need to re-dye my hair to a lighter shade. How long should I wait?

Sometimes it looks like a neutral color on the box but can have different undertones, especially if your hair tends to pick up a certain color. As a general rule permanent color is not supposed to lighten any previously died color, sometimes you can get it to lift but usually the results are not reliable. Im not sure why it made it darker, maybe was just a darker tone than you had before. Going to a professional, they will be able to mix color from scratch, knowing what combinations of colors are right for your hair and your situation. It is customized just for you. It will leave your hair in better quality because they can use the right strength of developer and the right timing that is right for your hair. Some people think hairdressers have the same boxes on their shelves that you can buy in stores and thats such a wrong assumption. They have hundreds of different colors that they can mix and match to find the right shade, thats why it costs more. The knowledge of a professional. Didn't mean to lecture, have been a hairdresser for 10 years now and once I get going...

Good Luck

I need to re-dye my hair to a lighter shade. How long should I wait?

I have colored my hair so many times and I know exactly what you mean. If your hair feel healthy and isn't brittle, than go ahead and color it. I have colored mine twice in the same day, then again a week later. I'm also trying to find a good blonde shade, Im going with ash blonde. Go ahead and color it yourself, and if you dont like the end result go to a stylist. I say if you can do it yourself, why not. Otherwise you will end up spending alot of $.

I need to re-dye my hair to a lighter shade. How long should I wait?

Instead of trying to figure out what to do, let a professional help you with your problem...Sometimes people get the idea, that they will save some bucks doing their own hair, but usually after they have messed it up a little furthur then its time to go to the salon, and they ultimately end up spending more, because its then a color correction. You cant lift color with color..Occasionaly it will lift but usually not..and you end up with uneven color. Take the advice of the last person and hopefully mine and go find someone you can trust to who will get you what your looking for ..Good luck.

What can I do to my hair to fix it?

I was told that Hair Maayonnaise acts as a protein conditioner also. Last nightI added one egg to my hair mayo, and left it on overnight. As I was combing my hair today with a wide tooth comb, I just saw strands of hair coming out, way more than usual. This is not good I want long, healthy, strong, African American hair. What does this mean, and what can I do, anyone help me please.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I do to my hair to fix it?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Hope this helps!

How can I keep my hair looking professional and stylish while its growing out?

I have very wavy/curly hair that grows upward (rather than downward to my shoulders). My hair is pretty healthy although I've relaxed it before. Its about five inches long in the front and tapered in the back. I just want sleek, sexy, professional looks that can be worn to school and work.

How can I keep my hair looking professional and stylish while its growing out?

I am a licensed cosmetologist, so my advise is that you go to your hairdresser and let her know that you are growing out your hair but would like help on keeping it trim ed(makes it easier to manage) during the process, and she will recommend products to help you deal with the agony of growing it out.

How can I keep my hair looking professional and stylish while its growing out?

all u have to do is buy prodicts that can work with your hair!!!!!!!!

How can I keep my hair looking professional and stylish while its growing out?

If I'm picturing your hair correctly then maybe an angled, swingy bang (the kind that is swept to the side instead of on your forehead and grazes the cheekbones, like a lot of models have) would work for the front while you let the back grow. I know what you're thinking, really curly hair doesn't swing! But it can become much softer and more manageable (sleeker) with twice weekly deep conditioning. This totally transformed my once frizzy, still curly hair. It now blowdries smooth in only about 10 to 15 minutes instead of an hour, after a little air drying first. A little straightening balm helps too and will keep the back smooth as it grows out.

Hair teasing?

my hair is pretty healthy but how do i get it to where i can tease it? i tried and it just stayed flat.. any help?

Hair teasing?

spray at the roots with any sort of hair spray and take a thin toothed home and back comb it really roughly and spray again-- healthy hair tends to not really backcomb that well..

=[

Hair teasing?

Use a clarifying shampoo, as this will roughen your cuticle up some to make back combing a little easier. Only use conditioner on the ends of your hair because it will weigh your hair down if you want volume. Also use a good hairspray with flexible hold.

Hair teasing?

Hair that isn't freshly washed teases better also..

Getting my hair trimmed?

if i trim it off about half an inch, will that speed up my hair growth?

i already know its healthy for my hair and prevents slipt wends but i just want to know will it speed up my hair growth?

Getting my hair trimmed?

No Not really.Keeping your Split ends is the best thing to do for healthy hair.

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

I'm trying to rebuild its strength because it has been damaged from lots of dying and blow drying. I quit dying, I try not to blow dry my whole head, and use lots of treatments, so I'm looking for a way to make my hair wavy, but in a natural way so that I can continue to keep my hair on a healthy path to stop the damage that has been done.

That being said, my hair is so straight. I have tried to scrunch it and it doesn't do anything unless I hair spray the s**t out of it which is not cute AT ALL! Please let me know of some way to make pretty waves =) Thanks!!

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

You are right not to blow dry your hair. Try switching your shampoo and conditioner to Herbal Essences. They have TONS of formulas to get your hair JUST the way you want it. I'm pretty sure that they have a formula for getting your hair wavy, but I'm not completely sure. Also, you should get a cute new style! Try layers about down to your shoulders. That's what I have, and my hair is soft, and wavy! Take my advise and I'm sure you'll be happy by the end of the month.

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

i don't get it!

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

Braid it tightly in two braids at night, mist it with hairspray, wake up, take the braids down, don't brush it, and add some more hairspray.

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

braids=happiness

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

honestly, braids really don't work all that great{sometimes} but, like, i think mousse would help you... [tresemme is great ;)

I want to make my really straight hair wavy, but....?

ok no prob all you have to do is braid it in tight cornrow braids nothing else since you have really straight hair try leaving it in for a long time and then take it out and you will have gorgeous waves

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

I straighten my hair alot. I have a chi straightener. I use the chi protecting spray all of my hair and put in in and comb it through. I use treseme condtionar. Is that good?

My hair is still a bit frizzy?

Is there any really good products that keep hair nice and healthy?

Anything that will add alot of moisture and keep it less frizzy?

thanks!

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

I do! I use Infusium 23 spray [I think that's what it's called] and I condition my hair every day. You might want to try getting a straightening shampoo/conditioner so you can lower the temperature of the straightener a little bit.

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

haha yes i dooo =( lol

but im gunna start scrunhing it more and just straighting my bangs and puting it up Report It

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

yea thats pretty good to help the frizz use sunsilk 24/7 cream and gor ganier sleek n shine snti frizz serum

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

you shouldnt straighten your hair every day its sooo bad for it bc your hair gets all frizzy and you get split ends my brothers friend ALWAYS straightens her hair and its gross. so dont do it for a while and it should be normal then you can straighten again but not a lot like once or twice a week

if you dont do this i suggest pantene pro-v its rly good and theres special kinds for like curly hair and stuff

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

I straighten my hair most days, I use hair heat protector from Avon. It is really good!!! It stops split ends appearing and keeps the frizz away. Plus it smells lovely lol

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

yes i do my hair is straight anyway ,but i have to have it up for work so you get a mark in your hair ,after you pull your bobble out , i sometimes use a leave in conditioner and it seems to work for me anyway try it out good luck

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

i heard that chi was a really good product, so if your hair is still frizzy then you must have curly hair right lol? or sometimes when its humid, my striaghtened hair gets like that too.

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

I straighten mine everyday too. I use this spray called infuzium and it repairs broken hair and helps it stay healthy. Basically try not to straighten your hair on an extremely high temperature of you will burn your hair, and straightening hair breaks your hair too.

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

when i used to it would break off and stuff just my input. I only straighten my hair twice a year at the most now and it's thriving.

When i do flatiron my hair i first moisturize with NTM Silk-Touch then use Redken Heat Glide for defrizzing and heat protectant.

I deep condition once a week with a protein conditioner(Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonaisse, Aphogee Keratin Reconstructor) followed by a moisturizing conditoner(Elasta QP DPR11+Honey, coconut oil, coconut milk, and evoo). The coconut milk is very good because it makes my hair so strong but also soft!

Does anyone else straighten their hair everyday?

PSHHH I DO!!!!!!!

Shampoo Three

Redkens extreme anti snap-prevents breaking and everything else straightening ur hair does

redkens heat glide serum-protects and makes it not frizzy

paull mitchel gloss drops-gets rid of extra frizz
